Spiritual Tour
8-Day Morocco Spiritual Tour: Chefchaouen, Fes, Moulay Idriss & Marrakech
Private 8-day spiritual tour with three nights in Fes and a full day in the holy town of Moulay Idriss.
Holy towns, madrasas and the calm of the Rif
The 8-day spiritual tour adds two places to the classic imperial route: the calm of Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains and a full day around Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, Morocco’s holiest town. With three nights in Fes you have time for its madrasas, the Qarawiyyin and the Zawiya of Moulay Idriss II, before ending in Marrakech among the Koutoubia, the Ben Youssef Madrasa and the shrines of the Seven Saints.

Frequently asked questions
Why is Moulay Idriss Zerhoun important?
It holds the tomb of Moulay Idriss I, who founded the first Moroccan Islamic dynasty in 788. Non-Muslims can walk the town and enjoy the view from its terraces, but the shrine is reserved for Muslims.
What are the Seven Saints of Marrakech?
Seven Sufi saints whose shrines, spread across the medina, have drawn pilgrims for centuries. Your guide shows you the shrines that can be seen from outside and tells their stories.
Is this tour only for Muslims?
No. It is designed for travellers of all faiths who want to understand Morocco’s spiritual heritage. Muslim travellers can add prayers at the mosques and shrines on the route.
What is the difference with the 6-day spiritual tour?
This one adds Rabat, a night in Chefchaouen and a full day around Moulay Idriss and Volubilis. The 6-day tour is shorter and skips the north.
